ROCK
Bush had been President since I was thirteen years old. I was still in eighth grade in Driscoll School in that bleak November of 2000 when Bush stole the election. All through high school, and all through college, Bush was President.

Not anymore, though,

Actually, a couple of people and I were contemplating mailing shoes to wherever he's staying. Maybe one to Bush, one to Cheney... D'you know where they're living these days?

My entire adolescence was spent under Bush (not American - but the USA exerts a lot of influence on Ireland, where I live). My list of political concerns in the past eight years had been topped by "I hope Ireland stays neutral if shit hits the fan".

No longer. Because we're not ruled by the warmongering Idiot-King any more. We're free. And I'm proud to say I hated that bastard from the very start to the bitter end.

Well, thankfully, the end didn't turn out to be bitter.
